Hi Denny!

They just restored all of the beaches in Playa del Carmen!! They are now very wide and they put underwater breakwaters a ways out so the water is a little more calm, too!

I'll have to wait until tonight to get back to you on the other two questions. I have to get to work!!

wife and I went on our first trip to mexico in january 2009. had a great week but weather was pretty cool. the beaches right in town were not as nice as we had hoped but we wonder if las caletas or yelapa`s beaches compare to the ones in playa?

Hi...thanks for the reply. My wife and some friends who are accompanying us have been to PDC before, my first time though, can't wait!! I chose the hotel for us and our friends, so am a little nervous that it may not be adequate. We enjoy the simple things, but as long as it is clean and safe, we will be happy!!

Hi Goodold! !

All those tripadvisor reviews are like that. I've never been to Playa Easter week! You'll have to come back and tell me! Haha! I think it would be very awesome to be there during Easter, though. I don't think I have ever bothered to look inside a room at Caribbean Paradise, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there at all! They don't have their own beach club. Maybe the have passes to Mamitas beach club. You are in an awesome location though! If you go to the left of the pier you are headed towards Mamitas and the beautiful north beaches. And if you go to the right of the pier you can hang out on the downtown beach which has just been restored so the beaches are wide and sandy like they used to be!
Just north of your hotel is the more quiet part of Playa and to the south is where the busy part is. I think you will love it!! You don't need to watch TV, you will have too much to do and see outside. Is this your first trip to Playa??

Hi...we are staying @ the Caribbean Paradise from Mar 25-Apr 4. Is Easter Week too insane or is it just more fun...we don't mind the crowds and both speak Spanish (wife is fluent, I do my best). Has anyone been to/know about the place. Tripadvisor reviews are mixed (love it or hate it). We are only expecting it to be clean and aren't concerned w/ TV reception and internet service. We want beach, sun, beer, etc!!
Do they have a beach club and/or inroom safe? Even the people who didn't like it all agree that the location is great.
Any info ya'll might have would be mucho apreciado!!
