Playa del Carmen Beach Hotels
Lodging guide and beachfront hotel reviews-
Playa del Carmen has several nice hotels situated right on the beach. Unlike some of the huge resorts, you won't have to walk far from your hotel room to the white sands of the Caribbean.

If you like to be close to the action: shopping, restaurants and nightlife and close to the convenience of the ferry pier, bus station and collectivo and taxi stands you might want to consider a hotel along the beach between Calle 2 and Calle 16.

If you like things a little more quiet, there are hotels located further North, past Consituyentes Avenue up to Calle 38. There is a nice stetch of sandy beach here, and two busy beach clubs, Mamitas and Playa Tukan. The beach clubs have pools, lounge chairs and food and drinks. You will be about a 10-15 minute walk to downtown Playa from this area.
